Where Do Grow Berries Spawn

The easiest way to find grow berries in Minecraft is to look inside the chests of these structures:

• Mineshaft: Large underground shafts that spawn in the overworld caves and are quite common in the Badlands biome.

Lush Caves

Since glow berries are a type of fruit, it's no surprise that they also generate naturally in plant form. You can find them hanging on cave vines in the lush caves of Minecraft. To collect the berries, break them using any tool or your hands.

Alternatively, you can use pistons and flowing to break a bunch of glow berries at the same time. They also drop when you use explosions like TNT in Minecraft to break groups of vines.

Empty Cave Vines

While this might come as a surprise, the glowing berries of Minecraft don't have to spawn for us to collect them. Here's how:

2. Then, find an empty cave vine.

3. Next, use your enchanted tool to break the vine and collect glow berries. But, keep in mind that this method only works on the Bedrock edition.

How to Grow Glow Berries in Minecraft

Once you have collected glow berries, it's time to farm them. Follow these steps to learn how:

1. First, place multiple building blocks floating in the air, next to one another. The height of their placement can be anywhere between 2 to 26 blocks. You can use any building blocks for this step including new copper blocks in Minecraft 1.21.

2. Then, place the berries at the bottom of the blocks. The berries will get placed in the form of a cave vine beneath your target block.

3. Finally, wait for the vine to grow and develop glow berries. Each new extension of a vine has a 1 in 9 chance of spawning these berries.

4. Alternatively, you can use bone meal on a cave vine to make it produce glow berries.

Moreover, on the Bedrock edition, you can use Silk Touch to collect berries from empty vines too.

Why Won't My Glow Berries Grow

When it comes to crops in Minecraft, glow berries are one of the easiest to farm. But, occasionally, they can encounter certain problems, including:

• Nether: While you can place glow berries in the Nether, their vines only grow in the Bedrock edition.
• Height: A cave vine can grow up to 26 blocks if there is air beneath it. So, make sure not to place any type of block beneath your vine including glass.

Stop Berries from Growing

With an ability to grow over 20 blocks in height, it's no surprise that cave vines can easily clutter your builds. But, you can easily prevent them from growing by using shears on the tip. Once it is trimmed at the end, the glow berry vien gets stuck at its current height.

Unfortunately, this mechanic is only present in the Java edition of Minecraft. So, Bedrock players have to get creative and place a string at the tip of their cave vine. Since vines require access to air for spawning, the presence of a string hampers their growth.
