What is the Crab Mob in Minecraft
The Crab is the first mob entry for the Minecraft Mob Vote 2023. This small and probably neutral mob has a distinct blue body with large orange claws. According to the reveal trailer, Crabs will spawn in the mangrove swamp biome.
But what really sets Crabs apart from other mobs is their ability to climb mangrove trees. It is unclear, at the moment, if they will be able to climb other trees or blocks in the game too. Moreover, if Crab mobs are like their real counterparts, they might be faster runners.
Crab Claw: New Building Tool
If you encounter a Crab in your Minecraft world and attack it, the mob will likely fight back. But, if you defeat it, Crabs drop a unique item called a Crab Claw upon death. This Crab Claw is a new building tool in Minecraft, which allows you to place blocks at a greater distance.
